Our Goal
Technical Committee on Intelligent Systems to Human-aware Sustainability (TC-ISHS) focuses on the design, analysis and implementation framework and intelligent technologies towards an inclusive, sustainable and resilient future for people and planet. As the new scale of urbanization, digitization, and industrialization continue to change of our world, many systems driven by the advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), sensor informatics, the Internet-of-Things (IoT), and blockchain etc., enter human’s everyday life. If human beings’ conscious engagement with such systems were not fully understood, even technologically sound systems can be more problematic than beneficial. Therefore, there is a greater need to address the integration of the economic, environmental and social aspects of intelligent systems for sustainability. The TC-ISHS aims to provide a snapshot of the status, potential, challenges, and recent developments of human-aware technologies that enable the production, service and ways of living more sustainable with the following specific objectives.
Objectives
- Establish a human-aware sustainability community.
- Foster the theoretical development in promoting sustainable products and processes from a “human-aware” point of view.
- Advance the theoretical understanding of the complex interplay of economic, environmental and social aspects of sustainable development.
- Offer innovative and efficient solutions for real-world problems in sustainable development.
