Call for Nominations: Editor in Chief of IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems

This is an OPEN CALL for NOMINATIONS for the Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems, sponsored by the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society. The term will begin January 1, 2019 and end December 31, 2021. Self-nominations are acceptable and encouraged.

To enable smooth transition of the duties, the current Editor-in-Chief will work with the newly appointed in November and December 2018. The EiC will report to the SMC Society Board of Governors (BoG) and is expected to submit annual reports and attend BoG meetings.

Nominations should be sent to Vladik Kreinovich and should be received by August 15, 2018 in order to be considered.

A nomination should include:

  1. The name of the nominee and the publication for which the candidate is nominated;
  2. A written confirmation that the candidate accepts to be nominated for the Editor-in-Chief position;
  3. Curriculum Vitae of the nominee, including the track record with respect to IEEE publications in general and the targeted publication in particular;
  4. A position statement of the nominee indicating the nominees’ view on the future of the publication.
