Focus On: Technical Committee on Computational Collective Intelligence

Scope

Computational Collective Intelligence (CCI) covers new methodological, theoretical and practical aspects
of computational collective intelligence understood as the form of intelligence that emerges from the
collaboration and competition of many individuals (artificial and/or natural). The goal of the technique
committee is to provide a forum for exchanging scientific research and technological achievements
accomplished by the international community. It focuses on research and applications of the
computational methods of Collective Intelligence and their applications in a wide range of fields such as
semantic web, social networks and multi-agent systems, group decision making and consensus
computing.

We welcome everyone interested in Computational Collective Intelligence field to join us. The TC allows
us to share and discuss new results in research, development and applications of Computational
Collective Intelligence and promote an exchange of ideas and cooperation. As a member of the TC you
will be invited to participate in organizing the events arranged by us, and to submit papers to the IEEE
System, Man, and Cybernetics Society’s publications. If you would like to join, please contact the TC

  • We are editing special issue on CCI in Neurocomputing (Elsevier)

Goals for the Next Five Years

  • Organize annual International Conferences on Computational Collective Intelligence (ICCCI), for
    which some have been fixed: ICCCI 2014 in Seoul (Korea), ICCCI 2015 in Madrid (Spain)
  • Attract more people join the TC
  • Organize SMC Conference on Cybernetics (CYBCONF 2015) in Poland
