IEEE SMC Society Hiroshima Section Chapter

The IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society Hiroshima Section Chapter has been established since 2005 November. The activities of this section chapters include research, education, industrial, and social collaboration in the area of computational intelligence and its applications. There are several topics that have been discussed, such as decision support systems, energy process engineering evolutionary computation, fuzzy systems, human factors, intelligent systems, machine learning, optimizatoin & swarm intelligence, and so on.

  • Organize industrial collaboration seminars and technical talks to promote science and engineering practices in real applications with the industry.
  • Form work groups with industry to address critical issues, such as product design, industrial safety, environment, and social systems.

Organizing Committee

The IEEE SMCS Hiroshima Section Chapter Committee is as follows:

  1. Prof. Hideki Katagiri (Hiroshima University), Chair
  2. Prof. Takumi Ichimura (Hiroshima City Universit), Vice Chair
  3. Prof. Hisashi Handa (Okayama University), Secretary
  4. Prof. Kosuke Kato (Hiroshima Institute of Technology), Treasurer
