IEEE SMC Student Branch Chapter in Hong Kong Polytechnic University

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Student Branch Chapter (HKPolyU-SBC) was founded in November 2004 at Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. HKPolyU-SBC is the community hub for our IEEE-SMC student members as they progress through their brilliant professional career. The main objective is to promote the networking and sharing of information and knowledge among students. Furthermore, HKPolyU-SBC serves as a good start of academic careers and volunteer services for students.

In 2006, HKPolyU-SBC provided website support for the conference ICMLC which was technical sponsored by SMC. Moreover, HKPolyU-SBC organized SMC Student Best Paper Awards and Multiple Classifier Systems invited session. In this way, some Chinese students are absorbed into IEEE SMC and to be our members.

In the near future, HKPolyU-SBC will develop some programs to attract more students who are interested in the research work and promote SMC to Chinese students. We are looking forward to seeing more students to join us and more student branch chapters being established. For further information on establishing a student branch chapter, please feel free to contact Patrick ().
