IEEE SMC Society Hungary Chapter

The IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Chapter in Hungary was formed in 2003. It concentrates activities on conferences and other meetings where people from the industry and academic discuss scientific, R+D, technical, and organizational affairs. During the year 2006, the Chapter sponsored and organized the following international conferences:

  • 10th International Conference on Intelligent Engineering Systems, June 26-28, 2006, London, United Kingdom
  • 4th International Conference on Computational Cybernetics, August 20-22, Tallinn, Estonia
  • 7th International Symposium of Hungarian Researchers on Computational Intelligence, November 24-25, 2006, Budapest, Hungary
  • Chapter meeting in connection with the 3rd Romanian-Hungarian Joint Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence, May 25-26, 2006, Timisoara, Romania. Special Session Information Aggregation in Intelligent Systems was organized in cooperation with the organizers of the symposium.

The above conference events were intended to bring together chapter members with academic and industrial experts in the main areas of activities in the Chapter:

  • Adaptive systems;
  • Computational intelligence;
  • Communication theory;
  • Fuzzy logic and control;
  • Complex systems;
  • Intelligent engineering;
  • Signal processing;
  • System of systems.

The Chapter promotes participation of its members on main conferences organized by the IEEE SMC Society. During year 2006, members of the Chapter acted as members of program committees and chaired sessions in the 2006 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Taipei, Taiwan and in the 2006 IEEE International Conference on System of Systems Engineering, Los Angeles, CA, USA.
